Switchman’s Tower

The Marx Switchman’s Tower is a charming and classic accessory for any toy train layout. First introduced as early as 1938, it was widely available throughout both the pre-war and post-war eras, and could be found in stores like F.W. Woolworth for just 50 cents. The tower features a lithographed tin cabin with a steel structure, standing at 9 1/4 inches tall with a small 2 x 2-inch footprint. One notable feature is its red celluloid window, designed to catch the eye and add some illuminated magic to the layout.
